Sasi Standard
Sasi means a promise in the village language. Our team checks these four points on the ground before a listing goes live, and keeps partners to them afterwards.
Listed price = price paid, no hidden fees.
Availability confirmed in less than 12 hours.
Clean water, a decent bathroom, mosquito nets, electricity and internet as described.
Life jackets for every passenger. We encourage partner boats, local guides and dive centres to get licensed and certified.
If there's a complaint
The Sasi Standard is kept, not checked once and forgotten
The first visit is only the start. If a guest reports something that falls short of the Sasi Standard, this is what the DAMPIER team does.
We tell the partner
The DAMPIER team lets the partner know, then asks them to check again and confirm whether the complaint is true.
6 months to put it right
If it is, the partner gets 6 months to meet the standard again, because island life brings plenty of obstacles, from late supplies to the weather. The Verified badge stays during that time.
Suspended, then withdrawn
If the standard still isn't met by then, the Verified badge is suspended and then withdrawn.
A Starlink Mini to answer in less than 12 hours
Signal is often the obstacle on the islands. So partners can answer guests in less than 12 hours, DAMPIER provides a Starlink Mini from the partner growth fund. If a partner still can't keep to that standard, the Verified badge is suspended and then withdrawn.
A reward for those who keep it
The Sasi Standard is simple, but hard to keep every day. Homestays and businesses that manage it receive an extra reward from the partner growth fund, as our thanks for trusting DAMPIER as their partner.
Steps for guests
From searching to setting off
Search and compare. Every listed price already includes the platform contribution, so what you see is what you pay.
Check availability on WhatsApp, or book straight away. Enter your name and WhatsApp number, and your request goes to the partner.
The partner answers your request. If there is no answer within 2 hours during working hours, DAMPIER ops call the partner and find you an alternative.
Pay in full through the payment link. At homestays and resorts, the rate you choose decides whether you can cancel or change dates.
Go. If anything differs from what is written, tell us. The Verified badge is withdrawn when a promise is broken.

Where your money goes
Where our money comes from
For homestays, the listed price is the partner's price plus IDR 100,000 per person per night, and the homestay still receives its own price in full. For example, a homestay priced IDR 500,000 by the partner is listed at IDR 600,000. The IDR 100,000 difference is split into IDR 35,000 for the platform, IDR 55,000 for field operations, the team that travels between islands visiting and checking partners, and IDR 10,000 for the partner growth fund. Diving, transport, and rentals use a fixed rupiah share per pricing unit of their own, not a percentage. For resorts, the listed price is the resort's own price, and the resort pays a 10% commission on it.
What goes back to partners
10% of DAMPIER's share, IDR 10,000 in the example above, goes into the partner growth fund. It is not handed out as cash but turned into support for partners, starting with Starlink Mini and rewards for those who keep the Sasi Standard, with the goal of solar power for partner homestays and their villages. Reported openly each quarter.
Cancellation
Cancel more than 14 days before departure for a full refund, 7–14 days before for 50%, and under 7 days there is no refund. If the boat is cancelled for weather, you get everything back.
The Verified badge lasts 12 months and is withdrawn if the Sasi Standard is broken. That badge is what we sell, not photographs.
