Nyandesner Homestay

Four bungalows on the north coast of Mansuar Island, in the Nyande area facing Kri across the Dampier Strait. It is quiet and secluded, with a seaside garden. Guests say the overwater bungalows and the view stay with them, the food is tasty and varied, and the hosts are warm and attentive.

The bungalows

Each bungalow has its own terrace, and some stand over the water with the sea right below. Each has a private bathroom in a separate building about 50 metres away. The bathrooms are currently being repaired and refreshed to make them more comfortable.

Meals, power and internet

Three meals a day with a changing menu, mostly Indonesian dishes, and breakfast with pancakes and fruit. Power comes from solar panels, and there is WiFi for guests.

Things to do

The house reef at the end of the jetty is praised for healthy coral and plenty of fish, so you can snorkel any time. Diving, including night dives, and snorkelling trips by boat can be arranged at extra cost. Kri and the well known dive sites of the Dampier Strait are close by.
